About Alex

Market Maestro

I've been in Silicon Valley real estate since 1999. After working years in the trenches, I founded Rainmaker Real Estate in Palo Alto, and eventually moved its headquarters to Los Altos.

We’re a fiercely independent, boutique residential brokerage, serving Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Menlo Park, and surrounding communities.

Combining focused negotiation, innovative tech, and tried-and-true practices, I aim to give you the best possible real estate experience. If you want to see how we can work together to reach your real estate goals, book a strategy call below and let’s talk.

Local Focus, Global Mindset

I'm a native English speaker, and I lived in Taiwan for several years. That's where my Mandarin became fluent. I work with buyers and sellers across Silicon Valley, and I'm glad to guide clients in either English or Mandarin, whichever they're most comfortable with.

I'm a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Influence and Negotiation Strategies Program at Stanford University.

Grounded in Los Altos

Los Altos is home. I live here with my children, and I'm committed to giving back to the community that's given us so much. I've supported local schools for years, joined the board of the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF) in 2024, and was honored to be selected as a board member of the Los Altos History Museum in 2021.

Outside of work, I'm drawn to pursuits that demand patience and strategy — Brazilian jiu-jitsu, rock climbing, poker, and cooking. They keep me sharp, and honestly, they're not bad training for negotiating real estate deals either.
